Say hello to Nina!
This charming little bird is made from a fabulous furnishing fabric that I bought as a remnant piece. I have cut it carefully to show the best of the floral print and paired the strong cotton fabric with an eco-felt for the birdy breast in a soft ivory shade. The light coloured felt contrasts and compliments the bright pink and green tones of the flower petals and foliage. With wings made from both fabrics and with decorative visisble stitching I think this little charmer is set to win hearts wherever she goes!
Nina has a beak cut from tan coloured eco-felt and peeks up at you with black bead eyes which I have centred on little circles of ivory felt. As with all my birds Nina is firmly plumped with polyester toy filling and happily free-standing on re-purposed copper wire legs.
