It's usually Shoogly Mike who designs and makes all of our polymer clay items but on this occasion Pat has been allowed to play with the clay!!
The result is this pretty antiqued Thistle flower brooch!
The brooch has been made with a base of copper and green coloured clay discs.
The brooch motif is formed from one of our own hand carved flower stamps based on thistle type flowers.
An antiqued effect has been achieved through a rough application of gold, green and purple colour washes that have been dried and gently hand buffed
A final protective layer of polymer has been baked on to give more protection.
Finished at the back with a secure offset silver plated brooch fastener to ensure this piece hangs perfectly on whatever you may choose to embellish, your jacket, cardigan, dress, scarf, hat or back-pack
Measures approximately 4cms across..
