I love making items for my children and see them on their beds everyday. It makes them feel just that little bit more special when they have their name embroidered on something. I love mixing up my skills and so encompassing patchwork, quilting, applique and free motion embroidery.
The number of different aspects of design in this cushion meant that it took approximately 9 hours to make. The longest amount of time is spent cutting out; piecing together; squaring up and piecing together again, the border patches. In total that took about 4 hours to do! The next longest aspect was the applique bunting name and flowers, which was another 21/2 hours. The rest of the time is spent on the quilting; making the piping and sewing it all together and finishing off.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Full description
This is a wonderful quilted cushion which can be embroidered with a name of your choice. it is 16"x15" in size and has a feather cushion insert, which can be removed for washing.
This particular cushion is not for sale, as it sits on my little girls' bed!
It has been embroidered with her name created into a bunting design. Each flag of bunting has been individually applied and embroidered. There is also an appliqued heart and 5 appliqued flowers all embroidered with shimmery thread. The border has been pieced with individual patches and the overall cushion has then been quilted with a sparkly white thread, in a flower design.
if you would like to commission a cushion, just let me know what colour theme you would like and the name of the person. Your cushion may differ slightly in it's design from this one, as I may have a creative urge to do something different! Don't worry though - I will keep you informed! I also do boys' cushions and my son is waiting for his to be made, so that it can be used as a reference.
This cushion is washable at 30 degrees and can be ironed, but just be careful ironing over the flowers with shimmery thread!
Please allow a full week for the cushion to be made and it will be posted after that.
