I have a large personal collection of vintage bags and purses which influence my designs. I like to combine a vintage feel with a contemporary look, using the bespoke needlecraft techniques that I have learnt from my work as a professional costume maker.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Refunds for handmade purses will be considered on an individual basis, but the customer will be responsible for the cost of return postage. I am not able to issue a refund for any purses which have been used since received by the customer. Damaged or faulty goods must be notified to me immediately and returned within 7 days of receipt (please ensure that your package is recorded by the carrier as I cannot assume responsibility for items lost in the post). Any refund due will be paid to you via PayPal.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
I have made this envelope-style flat purse with a cream silk front flap, and red silk dupion main body, which is lined throughout in gold satin fabric. The purse measures approx. 12 x 14cm when closed.
Nestling on one side of the front flap is a teal green and red applique butterfly which I have embroidered directly onto the fabric. The purse is finished with a little red ribbon bow sitting above the mother-of-pearl button fastening.
Please note that the red dupion has a slubbed, slightly textured surface, which is characteristic of this type of silk.
