A 3 string Guitar style Stick Dulcimer tuned to D. All my Instruments are hand made by me from FSC sourced timber. This particular instrument is on sale! Included with the Instrument is a free protective bag, a strap and some picks. My usual price is £200.

This Instrument is made from Mixed woods so it has a more traditional colour scheme. The front is Maple, the back Sapele and the sides are Meranti.The body has Walnut bindings, a brass tail piece (also made by me) with a strap button. The sound hole is finished with black & White perfling. The neck is made from Maple and features a Rosewood fretboard with real mother of pearl inlay dots.

What is a Stick Dulcimer?

The Stick Dulcimer is a guitar style version of a traditional Dulcimer. It has the same scale length as a guitar but is fretted on a diatonic scale and tuned to D-a-d, but what does this mean? This basically means that it is very hard to hit wrong notes and make mistakes! It is great for complete beginners but also has a lot of scope for experienced musicians.
