I've Sold this one but will be making another very soon.
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
This is a duck, a Mallard almost certainly - or at least my interpretation of one.
I am especially pleased with the lovely iridescent turquoise glass I have used for its back as its rippled texture looks like feathers. The head is cut from iridescent deep purple glass.
The duck is sitting on a pool of blue water streaked with green and looks absolutely gorgeous hanging in the window and catching the light which makes it lovely colours shimmer.
It would make a really special present. Birthday, Mother's Day or Easter ?
The duck hangs by a lilttle silvery chain from a little ring which is securely soldered to the duck’s back. It is 11.5cm wide and 9cm high.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and/or textures of glass.
