Full description
The background of this brooch is a patchwork of ribbons, embellished by couching over fancy yarns. A crocheted flower, with a bead center, and embroidered leaves, in cotton, is the focus of this textile design.
A number of ribbons, including some with a metallic finish are stitched by machine to a felt background. Fancy cords and yarns, some of metallic threads, are couched onto the patchwork for added interest. A flower, crocheted in cotton, with a bead at the center, is stitched inplace at the center of the brooch. Leaves are stitched in crochet cotton.
The back of the brooch is neatened with commercial felt and a brooch is securely stitched in place.
Height - 6 cm approx
Items of embroidered jewelry may not be entirely colourfast and care should be taken that jewelry items do not get wet in use in case colour should be transferred to items of clothing.
