Full description
This garden-themed quilt overflows with flowers, foliage and garden creatures. You will find birds, butterflies, a snail, pond fish and even a rooster amongst the colourful scenery. What a perfect gift for a garden lover!
Featuring a variety of appliqué and piecing techniques, this original design for the layout sets a variety of published blocks, printed garden fabrics, and even a pond with water lilies and fish, into a lush green ‘lawn’ framed by a wide floral border. From start to finish, this quilt took almost a year to make, and it is enhanced with hand guided machine quilting which adds dimensional texture to the design.
The visual interest continues on the reverse, where a scrappy back is pieced from more printed garden-themed fabric. This quilt can adorn a single bed, be a generous lap quilt in the living room, or you might even want to hang it on the wall to be enjoyed as a colourful piece of art.
Made from 100% quality quilting cotton fabrics, with high quality soft polyester wadding inside.
Size: Around 59.5 inches wide by around 76 inches long
To give you an idea of scale, the quilted section featuring the three pink roses is around 11” wide.
