My mum has quite severe arthritis and my son bought her a wheat bag for Christmas. She used it and said it was great for the pain but she hated the slightly musty smell of the wheat when it was warm. She also said it was not pretty and all the wheat slipped to one end as it was too long for the filling which meant it slipped off if she moved.
My wheat bag hopefully addresses these problems. I have added lavender to make it smell nice and it really does combat the musty smell wheat gives off. I have used prettier fabrics, I know I'm biased but the fabrics are really nice! And I have filled the bags generously so that they stay put. My mum loves her new one - but we haven't told my son - need to know and all that!
As a bit of a whatsit on a common theme I have also made some wheat and lavender filled foot warmer hearts. I love these and they look gorgeous and decorative but are still really functional.

Full description
This is a really soothing warming wheat bag. Just pop it in the microwave for a min and a half and it comes out smelling lovely and soothes and warms aching limbs.
The bag is made from red homespun checked cotton with a centre panel of printed linen. Printed with a nice fat hen - I love hens! The panel is trimmed with cotton lace at each edge. The back is the same printed linen as the front panel and it is filled with whole wheat and British grown lavender.
The bag measures 4 inches by 8 inches and is generously filled.
The last picture shows the hen's other half on a matching wheat bag, also listed. I have matching cushions, aprons and peg bags in these fabrics, if you are interested please look at my other items. I love the fabrics, all natural and as I said I just love hens.
