I like creating different surfaces and textures. To make this type of texture it involves melting the surface of the silver. The texture it creates cannot be replicated exactly again, making this piece one of a kind.
I wanted something smooth to contrast the rippled effect so I decided to do a stone setting on there. The stone is not actually a stone though. It's paua shell from New Zealand.
The pendant reminds me of mountains with a big blue lake in them.

This handmade silver pendant has a rippled texture with a contrasting blue paua shell setting on it. An 18 inch chain is included. It's an ideal birthday present or a treat for yourself!
