The female name Shirley comes from two Old English words meaning ‘bright’ and ‘meadow’. It perfectly describes this tote. The design is the same as a summer tote I previously made and sold, except I have chosen different fabrics. It is an ultimate summer tote with four pockets on the outside, two at the front and two at the back for carrying all those bits and bobs during the hot weather!
The tote has been made from two main fabrics, a turquoise blue cotton fabric and I have teamed it up with a bold floral cotton print from Isso Ecco printed by Lecien called ‘Scandinavian flower’. I have also added some pretty white vintage lace. The lining is a ditsy blue flower cotton print and it has a zipped internal pocket and a magnetic clasp closure. The self fabric handles are very long.
It is a one off, unique bag that has been handcrafted to a high standard and this is reflected in the price.

Base is 11cm (4.25ins) wide x 22cm (8.75ins) long
Handles are 96.5cm (38ins) long x 2cm (1ins) wide
Each external pocket is16cm (6.25ins) wide x 12.5 (5ins) deep
Internal pocket is 17cm (6.75ins) wide x 16cm (6.25ins) deep
