Full description
This art marble is a complete one-off, either for marble & curio collectors, or to add to your own creations or jewellery.
This marble is around 18.5mm in diameter, with a dark blue/black/grey base.
This is a 'galaxy' swirl, and is loaded with lots of detail to keep you looking into it. At the top is a 'galaxy of sparkles coiled around a storm of translucent mist (sort of bluey/yellow/green depending on light with the odd stripe of black, with some dark tips.
Bellow floats a odd nebula cloud of yellow and blue.
As it is hand formed there are some slight imperfections in the glass, such as small bubbles, etc.
It has been given a very long anealing cycle in a digital controlled kiln, to improve toughness, but it is still glass and I do not recommend throwing it around just in case! It has been handmade by me by lampworking it in a propane/oxygen flame from raw clear borosilicate glass (pyrex type glass, the stuff I use is normally used to make lab equipment!). The coloured glass inside is premium qualilty TAG & Northstar glass designed for art glass use only.
