Kanzashi Brooch:
This elegant turquoise or blue teal kanzashi flower brooch makes a stylish corsage to brighten up your outfit. Brooches make beautiful gifts for women of any age!
A medium (3 inches diameter), 12 petal flower made of Turquoise habotai silk and blue Japanese kimono print cotton with white and gold cherry blossom (sakura) branches motif)
There are pale grey stamens in the middle and it is backed with brown felt and a brooch finding.
Please bear in mind that the colours you see on your screen may not exactly match the appearance of the kanzashi 'in the flesh', though I have tried to show them as accurately as possible!
Kanzashi are Japanese hair ornaments. Hana kanzashi means ‘flower kanzashi’ and simply refers to the flower shape of the hair accessories. Tsumami kanzashi means kanzashi that are made by pinching silk to form petals and is the Japanese traditional craft which inspires my own kanzashi.
