Full description
This is an original handpainted pure silk scarf, designed and made in the Brecon Beacons by Mari Jones . The pattern is clematis flowers and foliage. It is machine washable up to 30 degrees C. I use the medium of batik, an ancient technique of dripping wax onto the fabric to create a resist, then fillling in the gaps with dye. The wax is the ironed off, leaving the silk soft and clean. It is 150cm by 20cm.
