Puffin Dazzle! A hand knitted & crocheted handbag, with super long shoulder strap, completed with three vintage pearly lucite buttons & lined with pale pink 100% cotton material.
This is a unique handbag has been hand knitted & crocheted by myself to my own design. Useing two differing yarns, puffin blue 100% Acrylic & mustard yellow 100% Polyester yarns. Both yarns have been knitted together to form a mottled effect & independantly, giving a gathered striped effect. The handbag has the stripes going horizontally & this continues onto the flap over top, the edge has been scalloped, for added interest.
The oval side panels are crocheted in the puffin blue yarn. The handbag has been crocheted together, along the seams & along the edge of the flap over top, to incorporate the loops for the three buttons. The long crocheted shoulder strap has been sewn into place.
This body of handbag measures approx 18cms in height & 29cms in width at its widest points. The long shoulder strap would give a drop of approx 78cms.
This handbag can be washed, but I would suggest handwashing, shaping whist damp and drying flat to retain its shape.
The super long shoulder strap was inspired by noticing a trend in many young people in my community, who seemed to be chosing this longer length & wrapping bags around their bodies. This contrasting colouration would really suit someone with a love of anything unique or quirky & would be perfect for all occasions.
