This is a handmade stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a striking 'picture' of a setting sun with sea and fields in the foreground. The picture is framed in clear glass and then with a border of twisted wire.
The sun's rays are made from 5 different colours and textures of red and amber glass and the sun is a sparkly texture of gold. The fields are in 3 different types of green and green / brown streaked glass and the sea in 2 shades of blue. This is beautifully bright and cheerful and casts lovely colours when it hangs in the light of a window.
It is 5.25 inches square and hangs from a strong silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top.
