This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A lovely design of a bright yellow daffodil which I have made in good time for spring, Mothers Day and Easter.
It is in the form of a picture.
A beautiful yellow Daffodil framed in lovely clear but gentle textured glass.
The petals are from 2 different types and textures of yellow glass, with lots of streaks. Using slightly different shades and textures give it all movement especially when it catches the light.
The daffodil fits over frame in some places to give a 3-dimensional effect and the spaces round the flower are not filled.
I've added twisted wire round the frame to really set the picture off well and give added strengh.
Very pleased with this and can’t wait to see it against the backdrop of spring flowers in the garden.

The suncatcher is 5” wide, 5 1/4” high and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top.
This will make a wonderful present for someone or just for yourself as it is very special and absolutely unique. Especially lovely for Mother's Day or Easter.
I never make two pieces exactly the same. Even from the same pattern I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
