I was inspired by the mother of pearl flowers - a really pretty strand which called for a feminine design. I had the pink agate 6mm rounds in my stash, along with the pink freshwater pearl nuggets. I needed was some leafy, flowery findings to complement the beads, and then I played with the agate, using some as spacers and putting some inside the flowers.

Agate is a rebalancing and harmonising stone in crystal healing and is used to cleanse the aura. It is a wonderful cleanser at the physical level too. Mother of pearl has its own properties although it is not strictly speaking a gemstone (it´s a shell). It is a calming, soothing gem which brings healing qualities reflecting those of the sea at its most serene. It enhances our domestic qualities, and helps us keep a calm and organised home. Freshwater pearl is associated with purity, and in healing is used to aid the respiratory system.
