An old roof slate from a Cornish barn has been used to create this unique statement piece for your home. Paint has been worked over the slate and then distressed to give that shabby beauty that is so on trend.
An image of beautiful tulips, found in a vintage botanical book, has been fine cut and applied using the more traditional method of decoupage. This unique piece measures approximately 26cm by 18.5cm and has a lovely quality being entirely crafted from vintage items reflecting the shabby vintage vibe perfectly.

The farmers barn next door lost most of the roof in a storm . The pieces of slate were beautifully weathered and this was picked out with paint lightly rubbed off. It then made a lovely backdrop for vintage decoupage cuts .
' Every cloud has a silver lining ' ..and i gave the farmer some decorative slates and the insurance gave him a new roof !
