Beautiful daffodils are embroidered, in relief, onto this lovely hair barrette or hair slide. A lovely Easter or Mothers' Day gift perhaps?

The background for this embroidery is hand knitted in a wool blend yarn which shades through several lovely greens. Moss stitch has been chosen to add texture to the design. The daffodils are embroidered in a merino blend yarn - those in the foreground are stitched in a crocheted cord and those in the background are stitched in the basic yarn to give perspective. The trumpets of the daffodils are stitched in ribbon - silk ribbon for the smaller flowers and a wider satin ribbon for the larger flowers. Leaves are stitched in merino and tapestry wools.

The back of the barrette is neatened with felt and a barrette clip is securely stitched in place.
