beautiful light catcher, intended to echo spring time, which is perhaps a bit premature, given the weather we have been experiencing in Britain. It is handcrafted by me and is absolutely unique. Richly coloured, it will look fabulous hanging where it can catch the light.
I have used glass of different textures and effects to evoke the new growth of spring, combining emerald, apple iridescent and leaf green to striking effect. Spring Green is created using the traditional Tiffany technique and the solder is finished off with a black patina, finally polished up with carnauba wax to give everlasting shine.
Approx 16 x 16cm (6 x 6in), it comes ready to hang with two soldered rings and a pretty ribbon.
It will make a great gift. I can also make Spring Green using other colourways, so if you are interested, let me know.
I am a British maker working from my home-based studio, overlooking meadow and woodland in a picturesque Surrey village. I take my inspiration from many sources including nature, the surrounding countryside, the Arts & Craft movement, and, of course, the glass itself.
