Bumble Bag, is a hand knitted & crocheted handbag with black lucite bead & crochet strap, short flap over top & vintage black glass button closure.
This is a handmade handbag, with two differing coloured yarns, one 100% Acrylic black yarn & one vibrant yellow 100% Polyester yarn & has been both knitted & crocheted. The main body of the handbag has been knitted with both yarns together to form a mottled effect & then seperately to give a striped effect, similar to a bumble bee.
The handle strap has been made with both a section of vintage lucite bead necklace, securely sewn into place, but also crocheted on either side of the beads & secured approx every third bead. A system I call a 'Crochet Ladder'.
The handbag has been further fully lined with black 100% cotton to make this handbag more useable & durable.
This is a unique handmade item, fully hand knitted, crocheted and hand stitched by myself, to my own unique design.
This handbag can be hand or machine washed, but I would suggest drying flat to retain its shape.
The handbag is roughly rectangular in shape, measuring approx 16cms in height, excluding the handle and approx 30cms in width at its widest point.
