I love silk and I love using it to make beautiful items. This handbag is no exception. The silk dupion I have used is dark gold for the body of the bag and brown for the facing. The handles are made from the same dark gold as the body of the bag.
The embroidery on the front is what sets this bag apart. It has been hand stitched using a variety of threads: wool, silk, stranded cotton and narrow white lace. There is also a sprinkling of beads for the flower centres.
The bag has been lined with a pink quilted fabric and has an internal pocket. The fastening is a magnetic clasp.
PLEASE NOTE: The bag has been reduced in price because of a small fault. There is a tiny pleat on the back by one of the handles which shouldn't be there.
