Titania was Queen of the Fairies in Shakespeare's play A Midsummers Night Dream and this tiara headpiece is most definately apt for such a role, this is what every little girl dreams of wearing. It is a stunning tiara and I managed to indulge all my whimsical dreams by making it.
The focal point is a large rose quartz stone (45mm x 20mm) wrapped in a brass dragonfly at the front of the tiara. Surrounding this are tons of Czech glass faceted beads in ameythst, iridescent purple, pink and clear, some are wrapped in brass filigree. There are rose quartz round beads and beautiful iridescent berry beads too. Entwined into the design are various pocket watch wheels. The structure of the tiara is brass which has been curled and corkscrewed to give a truly fantastical Art Nouveau/Shakespearean look. The headband is a typical Alice gold band (140mm x 125mm) and the metal is of low nickel content, the rest of the metalwork/filigree is solid brass (zinc/copper). The highest point of the tiara is 60mm.
Custom work is always welcome, so if you would like this design but with different colours, it is possible !
