Description
A playful re-interpretation of the graphic labels from old thread reels. Celebrating the vintage graphics, by re-working elements, and pairing them with ‘Folksy’ as the imaginary brand name. The original artwork was drawn by hand using coloured pencils.

Inspiration
The artists took inspiration from their collection of spools of old thread. Charming original labels and embossed wooden reels. Beautiful hues of spun silk and mercerised cotton. Intriguing names of the vintage colours - shades called ‘reseda’, ‘drab’ or ‘gladiole’, so resonate of another time. The small round ends of the spools were the perfect shape and size to inspire a set of badges.
