Full description
One of my favourite colours is gold and so I was inspired to create a small bag with gold as the theme. I had some gold velour fabric in my stash and some gold grosgrain ribbon. To complete the materials I also had some polyester silk which I decided would be perfect for the lining.
My main focus however, was to concentrate on the front of the bag and create something very beautiful and rich. In order to do this I used lots of gold sequins of different shapes and sizes, gold beads of different shapes and sizes, gold ribbon, and gold braid. An appliqué elephant created out of beads and sequins was the central motif.
I thoroughly enjoyed making this bag and I hope you will consider it a tempting pleasure to own. It needs a good home where someone will love it and enjoy showing it off to their family and friends!
This small bag would be ideal for special occasions, but it would also be perfect for nights out as it will carry those essential bits: keys, phone, purse etc. and you will be good to go!
The bag has an internal pocket, a magnetic clasp closure and a shoulder strap that is comprised of the gold velour fabric and gold grosgrain ribbon.
