A stained glass panel inspired partly by the song Freeze Tag by Suzanne Vega - 'We go to the playground in the winter time', but also by the countless hours I have spent freezing in the park while my children rush around without even noticing how cold it is...

This design is taken from my original illustration. The glass is selected for its colour and texture, then I cut and paint it by hand and fire it in the kiln for permanence - the paint will not flake or fade. Finally I lead and solder the panel together using the tradtional stained glass technique.

The white glass in the background has a very pretty pattern embossed on it, reminiscent of Jack Frost (you can see this more clearly in the 2nd picture) The cloud is cut from recycled bottle glass and has beautiful milky quality to it. The frozen grass is also textured glass, and her clothes are all cut from stunning Polish mouthblown glass, which has fantastic clarity and intensity of colour.
