The Kingfisher brooch made using a combination of machine embroidery and applique.
The bird is made from scraps of 1950's floral cotton dress fabric, silk dupion and contrast threads.
The base is made from stitched layers of wool felt, with a silver brooch fastening on the back.
The brooch measures approx. 1.5" by 2.5".
