Full description

Inspired by Lord of the Rings, this is a sign/plaque featuring the words spoken by Gandalf to the Balrog on the Bridge of Khazad Dum.

Carved in relief and cast in weatherproof lightweight polyurethene resin, handpainted in fiery colours, it measures approximately 20 x 10 x 5cm and has picture wire integrated into the back for hanging.

Ideal not just for fans of Tolien but for moody teenagers too!!!

*Please note, this piece is inspired by the work of Tolkien and should not be considered official merchandise in any way.

How it's made

The original design is carved into a block of plaster

A silicone mould is made

A loop of picture wire is inserted into the mould and polyurethene resin poured in to fill the mould

When cured, the plaque is primed and then painted black

The lettering and cracks are painted and finally the plaque is given a coat of clear laquer to protect it

Designed by David Bovill
