This cheerful cosmetic bag features three sunny tulips, which are appliqued and ‘drawn on’ with free machine embroidery in a contrasting thread.
I handcut the tulips from vintage and upcycled natural fabrics, carefully chosen to match or contrast with the lining fabric.
The bag itself is made from soft, white, medium weight linen/cotton mix fabric. It is lined with vintage 70’s soft cotton retro fabric, and padded with a soft wadding. The bag measures approx. 18cm wide, 15cm high, with a base 8cm deep.
This bag would also be perfect as a bag for makeup, or for storing other treasures. It would make a unique gift… for yourself or someone else.
