I wanted to make something festive so designed this festive red and green flower ready for the Christmas season.

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
This suncatcher is in the form of an 8 petalled flower in very festive shades of bright red and green glass. It has an octagonal crystal in the centre and 8 'diamonds' (crystal beads) round the outside.
I've used two different shades and textures of red and green glass for the petals which gives it more movement and sparkle. The inner petals are iridescent red and white.
It looks fantastic hanging in the window where it catches the light and spreads its colours. I have called this "Festive" but of course it is an ornament for the whole year not just the festive Christmas season.
The suncatcher is 5 inches in diameter and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely soldered to the top.
This would make a very special and absolutely unique present.
I never make two pieces exactly the same. Even from the same pattern I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
I have included 4 photos of this Festive suncatcher and also a 5th of the one I made previously in this same design but different colours.
Apoloiges for most of the photos of this one but my good camera is being repaired and my little Fuji is struggling.
