Full description
The red wings of this butterfly zing off the page, looking as if it has just alighted. The deep rich reds contrast with the blue grey background and the ochre brushstrokes of the body look almost three dimensional.
I painted painstakingly with gouache and ink and many many brushstrokes on thick illusttrator's card as part of my play with butterflies.
The painting measures approximately 11½" x 9" (29cm x 22cm). It comes with a thick archival white mount and protected by archival backing board in a plastic sleeve.
It will be carefully packaged with love in a rigid mailer and protected by a plastic sleeve. Orders shipped within 2 days from the time of payment.
