Full description
I created this decoupage artwork from a reclaimed wooden electrical-cable-bobbin. It is a contemporary decorative piece of art which can be either ornamental or can be used as a small table or a stool.
This is a Bicycle themed collage, created for an interior designer who loves bikes. It is displayed in an uber cool studio in Shoreditch.
The finished spool is varnished and sanded 4 times in between each varnished layer to create a very smooth and "integrated surface", which is water resistant and hardwearing.
The collage is made of images and text, collated from various sources:
* Vintage Arabic text from old scripts.
* Vintage magazines.
* Newspaper.
* Images from personal library.
* Photographs.
Approximate dimensions:
* Disk diameter, or bobbin width: 60 cm
* Height of bobbin: 50 cm
Please note, because these are one off pieces each bobbin varies in size, the above are approximate sizes.

Because this item is made to order, please allow 2 weeks for delivery. It takes one week to produce the bobbin and one week to varnish and sufficiently cure each layer.
