Full description
A beautiful, bold heart-shaped bezel made from finest pewter and plated with 925 sterling silver to an antique finish. It has been individually hand buffed and measures 27mm x 57mm.
Nestling inside is an assemblage of vintage story book page (which I have aged further using archival inks), pale blue lace, brown lace, a decorative red metal heart with silver plated metal wings.
This has all been encased in high quality, jewellery grade resin which gives the piece a domed, shiny, water-resistant surface.
It hangs on a 16" faux suede (more durable than real suede) necklace with a 2" silver plated extender chain and a lobster claw clasp. If you require a longer necklace, please feel free to ask. The heart pendant is attached to the necklace with a generously sized silver-plated jump ring which will enable you to hang it from other necklaces/chains/ribbons you may already own.
Original handmade design, very striking piece.
Please note that although the piece is water-resistant, it should not be immersed in water or exposed to any abrasive chemicals. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Please also note that due to the handmade nature of this item, there will possibly be some inclusions in the resin, such as bubbles etc which occur during the curing process. These inclusions add to the character and individuality of the piece.
And as always, be sure to keep it away from children's tiny hands due to small parts.
