I have created this necklace to celebrate two of the most important things in life: love and freedom.
Love is represented by a beautiful deep ruby red glass heart bead studded with tiny gold stars. Freedom is depicted by a gorgeous brass coloured bird in flight. I have also used a brass disc with a stunning relief pattern to represent the sun.
The glass heart bead is new, all other components (including the chain and clasp) are from my treasure box of broken or forgotten vintage goodies. All of my vintage and preloved components are thoroughly cleaned before becoming part of a new creation. Where possible this is done in my ultrasonic cleaning tank, however more delicate items are cleaned with patience, a soft brush and good old soap & water!
'Love & Freedom' is absolutely one of a kind due to the elements involved.

The chain measures approx. 20" (51cm) and is also fitted with an extender chain, finished with a vintage lucite bicone bead for extra detail.
As an idea of scale, the brass disc is 35mm across.
