A recycled champagne bottle cheese board. I have prepared and then fired in a kiln different types of champagne bottles. They slump to form a flat surface.Bumpers on the base protect surfaces. Green glass beads and wire have been added to the top for interest.
A stainless steel cheese knife from Sheffield(Grunweg) is included.
The bottle works well as a cheese board. I have also used them for grapes and canapes.
This would be a great present for a cheese or wine lover as well as being very eco-friendly.Perfect as a housewarming.
Please note : The bottles do not behave similarly in the kiln. Some bottles have bubbles near the neck or small whitish patches especiallly at the base. They are all fit for purpose and look fab.
You will not receive the one in the picture but one much nicer!
The champagne bottles are much, much heavier than the wine bottles as the glass is so much thicker. They are in my opinion far superior, they have a nicer shape, are flatter generally , feel more durable and are deep green.
See photos without knife for more accurate view of superior champagne bottles.
