Full description
Hand and machine stitched mini quilt. Blue car motif background with primary coloured cotton lettering, edged with contrast hand sewn blanket stitch. Reused and recycled fabrics.
Pre-loved Story - Every piece of fabric in this project has been pre-loved by my son and spent time in his primary coloured bedroom. The car motif fabric was a pair of vintage styled pyjamas kindly given to us by a friend with two sons who had also loved them previously. The brushed blue cotton fabric for the letter 'o' was cut from a sheet which has also been made into a pair of pyjamas and a cuddly diplodocus.
Re-loved Story - Happily this quilt has already been re-loved as it was being re-made into a mini quilt. The whole process was carefully observed by Charlie who was very keen to advise me on which colour contrast thread to use for each of the letters. I would love it to go to a very similar little boy, who knows his boy colours and loves his cars.
100% Cotton and machine washable.
