Full description
100g of 75% superwash wool 25% nylon yarn in a 4ply sock/fingering weight.
400m per 100g, enough for an adult pair of socks.
Suggested needle size 2-3mm
The wool has been quickly dipped to give shades of red. It is dyed using acid dye, with vinegar as a fixing agent then oven baked to set the colour. The yarn is then rinsed and washed with a wool wash containing a little lanolin before being dried. The hand dyed nature of this item means no two will be identical although colourways may be repeated.
Every attempt is made to remove any residual dye, however there is a possibility that a little may remain. It is recommended that you wash your finished object seperately and keep it away from pale fabrics until you are satisfied with the colourfastness.
The superwash nature of the wool means it is not suitable for felting. It can be cool machine washed, however hand washing will help to maintain the colours over time.
