Full description
This is a beautiful vintage mahogany country ladder back chair. It has been refurbished using Farrow and Ball's Dix Blue paint and finished with a quality bees wax. The chair features hand carved daisies and foliage to the back rest and cabriole legs. The removeable seat is made from thick rush and is in excellent condition. Included with the chair is this delightful toile de juoy lavender filled heart. You may also like to have a matching feather filled cushion to go with the chair and heart for £15.
This was popular with furniture makers during the late 19th century and typical of the Art Nouveau organic style.
The chair is solid but has the usual knocks and bumps you would see with furniture of this age, it only adds to it's charm and history. Would complement any home dressed in the French shabby chic, country cottage style.
