This is a beautiful Hand Carved, Blackthorn Wood Necklace. Lovely rich dark red suede has been used with a good quality silver plated extension chain to place around yor neck.
The natural markings & colours in this wood are truly beautiful. This lovely piece of wood is that of the Blackthorn, an incredibly hard wood with beautiful pinky tones to it's natural colour. It has been carefully hand smoothed and treated with natural bees wax to further enhance the beauty of the colours & lines in this wood.
Blackthorn is the14th tree in the Tree Ogham ..... Holding many magical properties the blackthorn can sometimes seem a harsh energy, but helps in what may seem to be a difficult situation bringing you to enforced fate with a positive outcome. I always liken the blackthorn to a bit of a grumpy old man, who has a heart of gold.
The energies in this piece of wood are truly magical.
This necklace is a very special piece of jewellery to be held close for a life time.

the wood measures 2 1/4" long. and 1 1/4" wide at the widest point, 1/2" think at thickest point. The leather is 20" long with a 2" extention chain.
