Say you love someone with a kiss!
A beautiful slipcast bone china mug featuring the word Kiss in a lovely pale grey calligraphy font.
Above the word is a half set of lips just as if someone has had a sip of tea and left a lipstick mark.
On the back of the mug is a full set of pink lips (slightly paler pink than that in the photographs).
The mug is made from an old fine bone china receipe hence it's lightness in touch.
The lips are a print of my own where I put lipstick on and kept on trying to make a clean decent print, approx 150 prints later I was happy with the crisp lines. I then reproduced this image on ceramic lithos and applied it to the glazed mug, firing it to 860 degrees C which makes the print fully vitrified and at one with the glaze. This produces a glossy finish that will not scrub off.
Fully dishwasher and microwave safe.
