Full description
This Walking Stick is an exception to the rule. As a change I saw a piece of Burr Elm that screamed Bird Head loosely based on the Heron. As the beak is rather fine It is possible not as robust as my other sticks but the wonderful grain makes it a great addition to any collection and is good for general use.
The handle is mounted on a light Hazel staff with a buffalo collar. The finished crook has been oiled and polished to release the natural beauty of the grain. The polish will improve with use.
The Crook is 49” (123cm) tall and can be fitted with a brass or rubber ferule. The Crook can be shortened to your height before despatch if needed. Just stand upright and measure from your breast bone to the floor approximately six inches in front of you and quote this length when ordering.
