Daily Denim Look, Hand knitted, crocheted and sewn handbag, with a crocheted handle strap and short flap over top, which has a stone bead detail and single lucite button closure.
This is a handmade handbag, with two contrasting yarns, both a blend of 55% Nylon and 45% Acrylic yarn. The handbag has been both knitted and crocheted. The main body has been knitted with a horizontal and vertical stripe pattern, created by knitting the two yarns together, giving a mottled look, then seperating and knitting them independantly in an alternating design, giving horizontal stripes, seen as vertical columns.
The fold over front flap has been knitted in the plain blue yarn, then folded to form a double layer and crocheted together to give the required thickness, the edges have been crocheted with both yarns to tie into the whole theme and crocheted integrally with the handle to ensure strength and durability of the strap, giving a very textured twisted look.
The body of the handbag has been lined with white 100% cotton.
This is a unique handmade item, made to my own unique design, the handle strap is integral to the bag and not stitched on afterwards.
This handbag can be hand or machine washed, but I would suggest handwashing due to the bead work, no wringing, shaping whilst damp and drying flat to retain its shape.
The handbag is roughly rectangular in shape, measuring approx 18cms in height, excluding the handle and approx 22cms in width.
