Full description
A hand painted and embroidered panel decorates the centre of this pendant.
Simple hand embroidery has been used to accentuate the floral pattern of this poppy design which has been hand painted onto white cotton fabric. Backed with interfacing, and the edges turned under, this embroidered panel is then slip-stitched in place in the centre of the pendant.
Green patterned cotton fabric covers a piece of heavy interfacing. The pendant is backed with black felt. A small coin is securely stitched within the backing of the pendant. This provides a little weight so that the pendant hangs correctly, without being too heavy. A ribbon loop is securely stitched in place from which to suspend the pendant. A length of black waxed cord is threaded through the ribbon. This may be cut to the desired length. The cord is knotted to fasten the pendant.
