Full description
Sometimes known as Jack-in-the-Green or Green George, the 'Green Man' is one of the most recognisable Pagan deities. As the fertile God of the forest, his spirit and strength live within the trees of the land.
Although the Green Man is closely associated with Spring, as an acknowledgement of the life, death, and rebirth cycles, these wall plaques come in four colours, each representing one of the four seasons. This wall plaque is painted green for Spring.
All our plastercrafts are hand cast so each one although similar, will never be the same twice! We finish each cast with either a gloss, satin or matt varnish so you can put it inside or outside with the knowledge that your wall plaque will be very happy in any situation. We do recommend that you reapply a varnish every three years to keep your wall plaque in tip top condition.
He measures 23cmx15cmx3.5cm (9"x6"x1.25”) and weighs in at around 450g (1lb) There is a hook embedded in the back of the cast for easy attachment.
Please note that that the Greenman in the picture may differ slightly from the one you receive. Each cast will be numbered and signed Catbird Craft.
We send our plastercrafts by courier in UK only, you will receive a tracking code from us when sent and UK mainland takes 5 days for delivery. Remote areas (IM, HS, ZE) there is a surcharge of £2.00 do please contact us if you are in these areas.
International customers: we are shipping by airmail only as courier prices are hideously expensive! Regardless of where he's being sent, he will be wrapped extremely well in bubble wrap and tissue, and sent in a sturdy box.
Update: US customers, because of new regulations in Homeland Security in the US, there is at this time no airmail being flown in passenger crafts, this means that some products will be flown by cargo plane or by ship - also, the extra security means that some items (seems to be over 500g) are also being held longer, so please allow a few weeks for your item to arrive. Sorry, there is nothing we can do our end to speed up delivery, please take this into consideration if ordering as a gift!
