Full description
The primroses nestle safely against the mossy hand-felted, background of this embroidered brooch.
The flowers are embroidered in cotton threads and silk ribbon. A combination of simple stitiches are used with distant flowers being suggested by small French knots. Naturally dyed fibres are combined in the felt which forms the background to this brooch.
The brooch is stiffened with plastic cut from a recycled bottle. The design is framed by couching over a slubbed yarn of blue and greens.
The back of the brooch is neatened with felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
