Full description
This dress is made from two of our most special vintage fabrics. The skirt and bodice are made from an original 1950's silk taffeta which has been lovingly preserved untouched until now! The colour is a very subtle two tone - predominantly a dusty green colour but with slight undertones of mauve - and the fabric is 100% silk. The wide fitted waistband is made from antique brocade, combining the green of the skirt with gold threads for a stunning yet subtle effect.
The cut of the bodice is a classic 1950's shape with a sweetheart neckline and lowered back and the full skirt can be emphasised with a petticoat (as pictured - petticoat not included) or left to fall naturally. Perfect for bridesmaids and summer balls.
This dress can also be made in mauve, electric blue, ice blue, burgundy, emerald green or olive green.
This dress can be made to order in a range of standard sizes or tailor made to measure for an additional £10.
Size UK 6 is made to fit Waist 24/5" and Bust 31/2"
Size UK 8 is made to fit Waist 26/7" and Bust 33/4"
Size UK 10 is made to fit Waist 27/8" and Bust 35/6"
Size UK 12 is made to fit Waist 29/30" and Bust 37/8"
Size UK 14 is made to fit Waist 31/2" and Bust 39/40"

The standard skirt length for this dress is 23-24" - kneelength on most people - but please add a 'note to seller' if you would like the skirt on your dress to be made slightly shorter or longer to match your height.
Dresses which are made to order will take approximately 2 weeks to make and 1-2 days to ship within the UK.
