Full description

Embroidered daffodils form the focus of the spring scene on this brooch.

As with other daffodil designs from Lynwoodcrafts, £2 WILL BE DONATED TO MARIE CURIE CANCER CARE FOR EACH BROOCH SOLD.

The background of the brooch has been hand appliqueed, with details added by embroidery. The daffodils have been added in the foreground. Those at the back of the group are worked in a fine thread, those in the centre in several strands of embroidery thread and those in the front are stitched in silk ribbon - this gives depth to the design. Two rows of couching over a mixed greens and golds yarn frames the design.

The brooch is stiffened by plastic cut from a recycled bottle. The back is neatened with commercial felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
