This leaf shaped cuff link is made in Snakewood (Brosimum Aubletti) from French Guiana.
The paterning in the wood is totally natural, and this lead to the european name for the wood, as in larger piece's it really does look like the pattern on the back of some snakes.

The backs are Silver plated
