Full description
This set of cufflinks has been made in Kingwood (Dalbergia Cearensis) from Brazil. Believe it or not but this cufflink set is from part of my very last bits of Kingwood, the export of Kingwood from brazil has been banned since 1992 under CITES as the clearance of rain forest has nearly wiped out this tree, my small section of Kingwood was only 5cm x 5cm x 15cm and came into the UK in 1988. i cut my wood into 5mm x 5cm x 15cm, so it gave me 8 strips (allowing for wastage by saw blade) which i have been working on for the last few years. I will now have to try and find someone with some pre 1992 stock as i only have one last strip left
